History of the Author...
I have been making porcelain dolls since 1989. I started my doll making career in my home town of Chillicothe, Ohio, where I met a very talented lady who agreed to teach me the basics of doll making and china painting.
After many months of lessons, I started to work in a small doll factory near my hometown. There I was able to gain valuable experience in making all types of dolls, both antique and modern.
I was fortunate to be allowed the artistic freedom to create my own painting style which I still use today and, in my opinion, makes by dolls unique when compared to others on the market. |
After six years of working in the doll factory, my husbands employment took us to central Louisiana, and I established my own small doll shop. While tending my shop and participating in shows throughout Louisiana and Texas, I met and made many new friends from various parts of the country. I feel very blessed to have had this opportunity.
Our next move has brought us to North Carolina to the beautiful little town of Mocksville (just west of Winston Salem, NC) where I am again making my dolls and attending shows throughout the state.

My dolls are my interpretation of dolls made from molds of other doll artists. I do all of my own casting from the finest porcelain available and each is individually china painted. This process usually requires several firings to achieve the results I desire. All my dolls are custom dressed, signed and dated.
